To all who keep up with my Health:
Tomorrow, I have an all-day appointment at the Spina Bifida Clinic.
It’s not an appointment that I ever look forward to.
That’s because a lot of the patients are much worse off than me.
Some are in wheelchairs, and some are in beds.
—I sometimes feel horrible walking in there.
As I said, it is an all-day appointment.
I could be there as late as 6 P.M.
I may get a room at the Hotel close by to lie down in between appointments.
I have, I think, four doctors to see and several tests to have performed on me.
Sometimes, there is a several-hour wait in between appointments. So, a place to lie down is always nice. The hotels probably full, though, because many patients come from out of town and stay at the Hotel.
That is all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
I have been to that clinic and I feel heartfelt sorrow for the state many patients are in. I have enjoyed conversing with family members of others because we have something in common. The knowledge that our loved one is going through something that most will never understand. And thank goodness for that. There is a common bond between patients with Spina Bifida and family members who are caretakers. Thank You, God, for bringing us together.
