I was introduced to the sweet elderly lady by my Aunt and Uncle.
She was A Preacher’s wife.
When I say she was sweet, I mean as sweet as momma’s Sweet Tea.
I was told that she didn’t get out of the house much, and she loved reading—We became friends on Facebook.
Every story I posted, she’d comment something sweet. She would also Thank me for sharing my stories. Believe it or not, I needed that encouragement. It’s hard to put yourself out there the way I do at times.
She followed my Posts on my trips to Gatlinburg.
I would post an update each night, and she’d comment something sweet.
Then, after I posted I was safely back at home, she commented, “Thank you for taking me with you on your trip.” That comment always hits me square in the Heart.
I looked forward to her comments because I felt like I was, in some small way, putting a smile on her face.
I know she put a smile on my face.
I got the news tonight that she passed away.
—Although I didn’t know you long, I feel I can call you my friend.—
You will be missed.
Love you,
–Lynn
