Technology Part 1

The ’80s and ’90s seem like yesterday to me.
I’ve been thinking about my life in the ’80s and ’90s here lately.

Also, lately, I’ve been using Audible to listen to someone read me a book. And I like it. And yes, that’s what I’m doing—letting someone read me a book. I’m not reading the book myself. So, if someone asks me if I’ve “read any good books lately?” I’m not sure how to answer.
I’ve been preparing for this for years by listening to Old Timey Radio Shows such as “Johnny Dollar and The Whistler,” among others.

I thought I’d listen to someone read me the Classic “The Three Musketeers.”
It’s over twenty hours in length which is perfect for long drives.
So, today, on my way up here, I listened to “The Three Musketeers.”
I got to Chapter Five. I did have to start a few chapters over because I was going through Chattanooga and couldn’t listen.

Technology is getting up there with “The Jetsons.”
We got Robot Maids that Vacuum our Floors and people who read to us while we listen using our Smart Phones Blue Tooth connection to connect to our Vehicles Radio.

Then, at 8 PM Eastern, I opened my laptop and logged into my Monday Night Podcast concerning the very important subject of “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Not too shabby if you think about it.
