Windows 11 Upgrade

A boring post. That’s what it is—a boring post.
I know this is not the type of Journal Entry that people like to read, but dadgummit, I don’t want to upgrade my computer.

I love Microsoft. I do. I have too.
I trained in Microsoft and got MCP, MCSA, and MCSE certifications.
I worked for twenty years setting up Microsoft Servers for companies. Some on the side and the rest with the corporation I worked for.
I have to give Microsoft a lot of credit for the career I had.

That said, I’ve declined the Microsoft 11 Upgrade for over a year—maybe longer.

In fact, I was fine with Windows NT 4 Workstation and Server.
I was then fine with Windows 95.
Then, I was fine with Windows XP.
I don’t like Windows 10, and I know I won’t like Windows 11 either.
I’ve kept declining the Upgrade daily.
They’ve even tried to trick me by changing the wording.
Such as hitting “No” meant for them to install the Upgrade, and hitting “Yes” actually was declining the Upgrade.

Well, yesterday, Microsoft got me.
The Upgrade to Windows 11 just began on its own. I had no control over it.
And now, I have no sound, microphone, or Web Cam.
In other words, I can’t make Doctor Appointments over the Internet right now.
Bringing up Microsoft Office was even a hassle.

So…, long story short, give me a few days to get this situated.
I may not post until Saturday or Sunday.
I know my family and friends like to see my post just to know that my health is good and I’m okay, and I wanted to let you know what was happening and why I wasn’t posting.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
