Vet Appointment

We have three dogs—Jet, Cooper, and Tommy.

Jet and Cooper are Australian Shepards, and Tommy is a Black Lab.

I had to take Jet and Cooper to the vet for an appointment this morning. The appointment was at eight.

Yesterday, I cleaned my truck out to make room for them. I made sure everything was ready to put the dogs in my vehicle this morning.

This morning, I let the dogs out to do their business. I then take a shower and get ready.

I grab the dog leash and head outside to get Cooper first.
When Cooper came to me, I found that he had lost his Collar. I knew it had to be in the backyard, but I didn’t have time to walk the yard and find it.
So, I sit the leash down on the back porch table and go inside the house to look for the extra collars that we keep. I find the Collar and head back outside to put the Collar on Cooper.

I get outside, and all three dogs are sitting next to one another on the back porch. All three have a guilty look on their face.

I look at the table and see that the leash is no longer there.

“Where is it?!?” I ask.
They just look at me.

“I know you hid it! Where is it?”
Nothing…

“Where-Is-It?!?”

Tommy looks over to his right, my left.

I look to my left and see the leash lying in the corner of the fence. Some straw has been thrown on top of it to hide it.

I get the leash, hook it up to Cooper and take Cooper to my truck. I place him in the back seat.

I then get Jet and put him in the back seat next to Cooper.

I look at my clock, and it’s 7:21 AM.

“I gotta get going. The appointment is at 8.” I say to myself.

I continue, “I’m still on schedule.”

I get inside my truck, put my seatbelt on and crank it up. We are on our way to the vet.

I turn the A/C on and put it on high so that the dogs stay nice and cool.

While driving, I feel a breeze coming into the truck.
I looked in the back, and Jet had rolled the back windows down—all the way down. I get scared that he might try to jump out, and I quickly use the driver-side control panel to roll the window back up. I then press the “Child Lock” button so that they can’t roll the window back down.
We arrive at the vet.

“Yes, Ma’am, my dogs “Jet” and “Cooper” have an 8 o’clock appointment. Can I get some help bringing them inside? They’re pretty hyper.”

“Yes, Sir. I’ll help you. It will take a little while, so if you give me your Cell Phone number, we’ll call you when it’s time to pick them back up.”

“Yes, Ma’am. That sounds great.”

We get the dogs inside, and I leave them in the vet’s hands. I go and head home.

I now wait for the phone call for me to go and pick them back up.

It’s been a great morning so far.
I hope your day is great as well.
