I woke at 5 a.m. this morning. I couldn’t sleep during the night. I was anxious about the day ahead of me.
Today is my all-day appointment at the Adult Spina Bifida Clinic.
First, I have to head over to Grandview Medical Center to get a copy of my recent Renal Ultrasound.
Then, I head over to UAB Hospital to the Spain Rehab Center for my appointment.
The Spina Bifida Association of America will be there today, questioning the Staff and Patients. I’m told it’s a big deal.
And I’m anxious.
I will have several tests today, starting with X-rays of my Spinal Column and Spinal Cord.
Then, I will get to avoid the Renal Ultrasound since I had one already this past month. I’ll give them a copy of the CD containing the results.
I’ll see my Neurosurgeon today as well.
I once called him a Neurologist. He corrected me. It’s “Neurosurgeon.”
He’s friendly and reminds me of Doctor “House,” the Doctor in the TV show “House.”
Then, at the end of the day, I’ll see my Doctor for the results and to talk.
I’m sure at different times of the day, I’ll get interviewed and participate in questionnaires for research.
It’s now 7:30 a.m., and I need to start getting ready for the day.
Wish me well.
Love you,
–Lynn
