To pull off today, everybody in the family had to pitch in.

Mom was having Cataract Surgery this morning. She had to be there at 5:45 AM. She was the first surgery.

Mom, Papa, and my Dad have all had Cataract Surgery. They’ve all had it about a month apart too.

The girls needed to be at school at their regular times, but they were getting out early today. And, It was up to me to get them to school on time.

My Nieces go to two different schools in two different Counties.
We live on the Blount/Jefferson County line.
Today, both girls would have to ride with me. I got myself prepared to hear whining, but there wasn’t any.

At 6:55 AM, I pulled out of the Driveway to take them to school, and I’m happy to say that both girls got to school on time.

Now came the tricky part. I was to go and get the oldest Niece at 9:30 AM, which meant I had an hour and a half to pass. So —I went to Cracker Barrel to eat Breakfast.

My Sweet Waitress came to my table to get my Breakfast Order.

“Yes, Ma’am, I’ll take the ‘Grannys Breakfast’ Special, and then I want to add a ‘Biscuit and Gravy’ to that, Please.”

She smiles. “Does my heart good to see a body eat well.”

“Yes, Ma’am.”

I had Coffee and Water with my Breakfast.
I ate slowly because I still had over an hour to go before time to pick my Niece up.

At 9 AM, I get my ticket and head to the front to pay. I then make my way to my car. At 9:30 AM, I pick my Niece up.

We get home about 10 AM.
I am now supposed to get my other Niece from her school at 11 AM.

Fortunately for me, though, Mom and Papa walk inside the house.
Mom’s Cataract Surgery went well, and Papa says that he’ll go and pick my other Niece up.

And before the door shuts behind Papa, I’m back in my bed, asleep.
