—Cabin 6/14/22—
I made my way down to the station at the bottom of the mountain.
I needed to see if they had heard anything on the Cleaning Crew issue, and I wanted to say, “Hey.”
On my way back, a diesel truck, Dump truck, and tractor are blocking the entrance to the road leading to the cabin.
I stop and ask one person if I can come in through the other end of the road.
He tells me he isn’t sure how to come in from the other side and gives me a “God Bless you, Sir.”
I say, “God Bless you as well,” and head on, trying to find another way to the cabin.
Now, the cabin is NOT on a “Dead End” road. So, I know I can come in from the other side. I just have to figure out how. GPS is of no help because it’s telling me to go through the “Blocked” way.
And I am horrible with directions. I’m worse with directions than Math.
I go up one road and take a left.
From that road, I can see our road down below me.
“Now, I just need to get back to that road…” I think to myself.
At the next road up, I take a Right. I had no choice. To the Left was a “Dead End” road, and I couldn’t go straight anymore. I went Right.
Now, I can see the road I was just on below me. And I can see the road I need to be on below that… I’m getting farther away.
I finally stopped.
“Okay, Lynn, you can’t afford to go all over the mountain at five bucks a gallon.” I turn and return to the regular entrance.—The blocked one.
I figure I can turn my truck Off and wait if I have to.
When I return to the regular entrance, the diesel truck is gone, and nothing is blocking the entrance.
“I should’ve stopped and waited to begin with… You big dummy.” I say to myself.
I get to the cabin and begin Breakfast.
For today, I thought I’d have a piece of Cheese Toast and Dry Toast because I forgot to bring Butter. I also fried some Bologna.
The Bologna is “Sandwich Sized.” It’s larger in circumference.
I burn the toast in the Toaster Oven. So, I decided to make a Bologna Sandwich with Mustard and Onions. —Pretty tasty.
I’m now enjoying a cup of Coffee—Black—and watching TV.
I have no plans today.
Good Morning, all.
