—COVID Update – Night – 8/3/2021—
Everyone is still doing well here, including myself.
Mom did place an order with Wal-Mart Pick up, and I drove there to pick it up.
It was my first time doing so, and I’ll do better next time.
Mom told me to take a cooler with me for the refrigerated items, so I did.
It wasn’t big enough, though.
I then realized that I didn’t really need a cooler. If I had gone in and got the items myself, I would have just put the bags in the back seat and drove home.
The person who packed my vehicle for me wouldn’t take a tip.
She said it was against the “No Contact” policy. I then realized that she was right.
It really is an easy way to shop.
Just go online and put everything in your online buggy and then pay for your items and schedule a time to pick it up. Then, when you arrive, you call and tell them what numbered parking spot you are in, and they bring everything out and pack it in the vehicle for you. Simple.
I still like the good ol’ “Pig” (Piggly Wiggly), though.
I then went through “Arby’s” drive-thru, got food for everyone, and brought that home.
I love their Curly Fries. I ate all of them on the way home.
I listened to the song “Africa” by “Toto” on the way home.
I’ve never learned the lyrics to that song.
In fact, I sing a lot of songs I don’t know the lyrics to. It doesn’t bother me.
I pretty much sing it like this:
“It’s gonna take a lot to DA-DE-DAAAAH from you
There’s nothing that a hundred men ON MARS could ever do
I DA-DE-DA-DA-down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never DAAAAH.”
Good times.
That is all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
