Dolly Parton has been nominated for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
On her Social Media Accounts, she said, “Thanks but No Thanks.”
—I paraphrased that a little.
Then, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame replied to Dolly with, “We’ll let the voters decide if you’re in or not.”
—Again, paraphrased.
I get it.
I often wondered why a particular person or group got inducted into it.
It contains some rappers, country singers, Lovey-Dovey singers, and even Disco.
Go to their website and see the complete list of members. Some will make you scratch your head.
The only way I can look at it is like this:
That person(s) or group probably inspired someone who went on to write some beautiful Rock and Roll Songs… —Have you ever heard someone say “Beautiful Rock and Roll Songs?”
I’m sure Dolly has inspired many people who went on to record some great Rock and Roll Songs.
In short, If the Bee Gees can be in it, Dolly Parton can be in it too.
