Grantchester

In the ’80s, there was an American TV Show called “Father Dowling Mysteries.”
“Father Dowling” was a Priest who was also a Crime Solver.
I think that is where the BBC came up with “Grantchester.”

In Grantchester, the local Vicar and a Police Detective team up to solve crimes.
In Season One, Episode One, the Detective realizes that people will freely talk to the Vicar, whereas no one will ever speak to the Police.
So, the two team up to fight crime and solve murders.

“Grantchester” is a PBS Masterpiece Murder Mystery Show taking place in England in the 1950s.
A lot of the key characters have returned home from fighting the Nazis. —Many are fighting Ghosts from the War.
And if you know me, then you know I like the “olden days.” —The Clothes, Cars, Music and Lingo. And Grantchester doesn’t disappoint with any of that.

As I said, I’m enjoying it, but I know it won’t last long.
I cheated and looked the show up on the internet and discovered a Character Change coming in Season Four. I don’t like it when Characters change.
The current Vicar leaves the show, and another Vicar fills his shoes.
I’m not looking forward to that.

It’s a PBS Show, but it’s also available on other Streaming Platforms, such as Amazon Prime Video.

I am currently on Season Two, and I’ll try and keep an open mind when I get to Season Four.

That’s the latest for me.

Love you,

–Lynn
