4:47 am. I awake.
I decide to get in the truck, ride around, and listen to Olde Time Radio.
I figured some “Jack Benny” or “Bob Hope” would be a great way to start this day, and I’ve got some Jack and Bob saved on my Smart Phone—which connects to my vehicle’s radio.
Sometimes I make-believe that my late Brother Tony is sitting in the passenger seat with me. I like to wonder what he’d be doing while he sits and rides along with me.
Today, he’s reading “Moby Dick” as we ride along.
He would never have read such a book when he was alive on this Earth.
But now, he reads. He enjoys it.
“Could you put that book down and look at the Country-Side for a moment?”
He licks the tip of his finger and turns the page.
“So, what’s it like on, you know, the other side?”
“Lynn, I’ll tell ya this: It’s all going to be okay for you.”
He licks the tip of his finger and turns the page.
“And also, this: This guy ‘Ahab’ is gonna need a bigger boat. I’ve seen this before on TV.”
It was a good drive.
