To get to my doctor’s office, all of my doctors, I have to drive through Birmingham.
Specifically through two areas. One appropriately named “Malfunction Junction,” and another simply known as “280…”
And that’s how you say it. “280…” You have to include the ellipsis after saying it. “280…”
I got home from my doctor’s appointment yesterday when I received a call. It was from the doctor’s office. The same doctor I had just seen.
“Mr. Lynn, you left something here…”
And before she even finished her sentence, I had already made up my mind that she could throw whatever it was that I had left… away…”
“It’s a hat that says ‘Floyds Barber Shop, Two Chairs No Waiting.'”
I say back, “I’ll come back and get it. Thank you for letting me know.”
That’s my favorite hat.
