Pre-Hospital Checklist

—Pre-Hospital Checklist—

The hospital called and asked me to come in to take a COVID test tomorrow, before my Wednesday appointment.

Today I’ve been straightening my room up and getting my Hospital Bag ready to go.

I’ve posted about my Hospital Bag before.
It contains everything that I might need, such as wafers, bags, and other medical equipment. It should be able to last me from five to seven days.
I straightened my room up because I like to return home from the hospital to a cleaned room.

When my doctor’s office calls tomorrow, I’m hoping they can tell me if they are planning on me staying overnight or if they plan on it being outpatient.

Personally, I hope I stay overnight.
I know, I know, why would anyone wish to stay overnight in the hospital?
Over the many years of having procedures done, I’ve been sent home on more than one occasion, only to have to go back to the hospital. So, it’s just easier to stay overnight and make sure all is well.

The nurses treat me like a King, the food is good, and I sit and binge-watch “The Andy Griffith Show” on my laptop. I can usually binge the first five seasons.
Usually, as soon as a nurse walks in and sees me watching The Andy Griffith Show on my laptop, they say, “Oh, I remember you!”

If I do stay overnight, I’m pretty sure I’ll have to stay by myself due to the Pandemic.
And… If I’m staying for something minor, such as this, I kind of like to be alone.
Now, if it’s something major… I get scared, and, like most big babies, I like for my momma to be there with me.
This procedure shouldn’t be anything major, though.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
