Sugar Creek Music Club

—Sugar Creek Music Club—

Tonight, I had the privilege of listening to “The Jazz Babies featuring Merle Dollar.”
People dressed in their best ’20s outfits; Many danced; All had a great time.
It was my first “Meeting” or Event at the “Sugar Creek Music Club.”
I am now one Event, or “Meeting,” away from becoming a Member of the Club.

The “Sugar Creek Music Club” is a Private Club for Music Enthusiasts.
The Club By-Laws state that you must show up to any Event Twice in the same Season to be an Official Member.
Basically, to join, show up to any Event twice, in the same Season, and you’re in the Club.
I’m guessing that an Event is the same as a “Meeting.”

Sugar Creek Showcases talent from all over the South.
It is located on the Private Property of the Beautiful “Hitt and Miss Farm” in Hayden, Alabama.

They have Light Fare at the Snack Bar before the Show.
However, you can purchase items such as Cokes, Chips, and Popcorn during the Show.

Since it is a Private Club on Private Property, you can bring your own Adult Beverages. No Alcohol is sold on the property.

You must also bring Cash.
Depending on the Event, there may or may not be a Cover Charge to get in the doors.
There is a Tip Jar located on the Stage and at the Snack Bar.

The place Showcases some big names such as “Three On A String,” “Ca$h Domino Killers,” “The Martini Shakers,” and “Chapter 5.”
On December 2nd, 2022, they have “Allen Tolbert Presents: A Bluegrass Christmas.”

And as I said earlier, Tonight, I saw “The Jazz Babies featuring Merle Dollar.”
Many people came dressed in ’20s style clothing called the “Flapper.”
Had I thought to dress up in some ’20s garb, I would have.
I guess it didn’t dawn on me since this was my first time going.
Next time though, …next time.

—I’m gonna have to hit the Thrift Stores.

If you ever get the chance, visit the “Sugar Creek Music Club.”
