I began watching a “New to me” Series on Netflix called “The Crown.”
Many of you probably already watch it. I’m on Season 1, Episode 10, and am really enjoying it.
It makes sense that I would like it, though. It takes place in the 1950s and has “flashbacks” to even earlier years. I love the older eras.
The cars, the houses, and the way of life; all fascinate me.
People seem to care more back then. They carry themselves better.
They had more dignity.
The vocabulary, the dress, all of it. Fascinating.
And how about “John Lithgow” playing “Winston Churchill?”
John Lithgow really does a great “Churchill,” in my opinion.
One of the things I’ve been doing is going on YouTube and watching the actual video of something portrayed on The Crown and seeing how accurate the show is.
So, I’ve been learning a lot of things that I didn’t know.
Speaking of “Churchill,” when I was in School, we learned about Winston Churchill. I even remember having to write a paper about “Winston.” It was a big deal.
And I wonder if Schools today teach that. I wonder if they teach about The Great War or World War II.
I’ve always been fascinated by those things as well.
So, if you can’t tell, I’m really enjoying “The Crown” on Netflix.
In fact, I have to sign off right now.
The next show is about to begin.
