I got to eat one of my favorite fish this week.—Salmon.
Some people pronounce the “L,” and some keep the “L” Silent.
I try to be “fancy” and keep it Silent, pronouncing it as “Sa-mun.”
And, as usual, I think my way is correct.
The others had some other fish. Flounder, I think. I knew, however, that one Niece and I would much better prefer Salmon. So, Off to “The Pig” I went.
While at the Pig, I also got the Round Tray of Steamed Shrimp that they keep in the freezer section. I thought it would go nicely with everything else.
I thawed it out at home.
They only had two pieces of Salmon out on the Ice, and I got them both.
I apologize if you went to The Pig to get some Salmon and found out they had none left. It was good, though. It had the skin still on it, and I love Salmon Skin.
Mom has a Special Recipe for a Sweet Sauce to Drizzle over the Salmon that tastes really, really good. And she has taught it to me.
It goes great on Salmon.
I know from experience, though, that it doesn’t go with Shrimp, Flounder, or Cat Fish. Just FYI…
Mom’s Shingles are rough. It’s tough going.
She has good days and bad days.
I thought she was on the mend, but today has been rough.
She is in bed at the moment.
Papa and I put on medical gloves and gently rub this cream on her back where her Shingles are. It doesn’t help much, but it does help some. And you take what you can get in the situation she is in.
That’s all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
