—Cabin 6/24/22—
Yesterday, I “putted” around the Cabin doing “This and that.”
I may or may not have said this, but when I arrived up here, the Bear had torn the top off of the Hot Tub and threw the top in the yard.
And, guess what? Hot Tub Covers are on back order all over the Country.
We may not have a top for eight weeks.
So, I had to buy a Tarp at Ace Hardware to put on top of the Hot Tub.
This is a nice Tarp too. It is 8 x 8 and comes with a Draw-String sewn into the edges.
So, I threw it on top of the Hot Tub and pulled the Draw-Strings tight. I also used some straps to tie it down.
It should be easy for guests to take off and easy to put back on.
And, yes, I’ve already thought about the fact that the Bear might tear the Tarp off as well. …What to do?…
While at Ace, I bought all the Chemicals for the Hot Tub, including the “Floater.”
You put a little Chlorine Tablet into the Floater, and then the “Floater” just floats around in the Hot Tub. I spent over 150 Dollars on everything.
My Sales Lady at Ace told me that everything from Chlorine to Bromine has gone Sky-High. The Chlorine alone was 80 Dollars.
I also bought Test Strips to test the water.
Once I knew the water was perfect, I set the temperature to 95 and put the Tarp on top.
Our Hot Tub ranges from 80 to 104 in the temperature settings.
It was plenty good and hot yesterday. So, I took my time doing everything. I started at 9 AM Eastern and was finished by about 4 PM Eastern. So, I took it good and slow so that I wouldn’t overdo myself.
For dinner, I had a can of Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup and three pieces of Cheese Toast. I love dipping my Cheese Toast into the Soup.
And you can’t go wrong with Campbells.
That’s all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
