Clowns and Bathrooms

People like me think about things more than we should. We think, and we worry.
We worry about things that probably would never happen.

For instance, I’m always scared that the power will go out while I’m in the restroom changing my colostomy bag. Once you take your bag off, well, you’re wide open.

I’m scared of clowns.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve gone to the circus many times, and I laugh at the clowns every time.
I’d probably wet myself if a clown walked up to me in a parking lot in broad daylight, though. Thank goodness I have a bag to catch it.

I’m scared to sit too far from the exit door in a room. I also fear being in a room that doesn’t have a clock on the wall. My cell phone has helped me overcome that fear.

What am I getting at?
As soon as I arrived back home today, I went straight to the bathroom. The power went out while changing my bag.
It was worse than I had ever imagined…

The only thing worse would be if a clown were in the room with me when the lights came back on.
