Coma Continued

After getting to the ICU, in a Coma,’ I was diagnosed with NASH, UTI, Double Pneumonia, Ammonia poisoning, and COVID. A breathing tube was inserted. And this is where I would lie for the next fifteen days or so. I would also go in and out of consciousness.

The doctors told my Mother that I had a 50/50 chance of survival. They were appeasing her, though. None of the doctors assigned to my case believed I would make it through the night.
Papa had to rush home to find my Power of Attorney. The Hospital said they needed it.

My Urologist, my best and favorite doctor, never gave up on me. Even though he was not on this case, he came to check on me. Often bringing his wife with him.

The times I did wake up, I would look at the fluorescent lights. It felt like I was in the Lunchroom of my Childhood School. All of my childhood friends were there eating lunch. And I would use this time to talk to God.

“Father God,” I would mumble. And then I would pass out.

More later. As I get stronger.

Love you,

–Lynn
