—From The Porch—
Tonight I decided to sit on the front porch and listen to the wildlife as I type my daily journal.
At the moment, I hear the Crickets Chirping. I’m hoping, though, that the Bull Frog will make an appearance tonight. He lives in the Water Fountain.
Off on the Horizon, the clouds look like Marshmallows.
In another hour, I won’t be able to see them for the darkness.
We have several Solar Lights sitting out around the house, and a few of those have turned on. It’s not quite dark enough for all of them to come on yet.
The Life Saver Helicopter flies low over our home.
It’s loud and flying fast. I say a quiet Prayer for whoever it has or is going to get. Then, for a moment, even the crickets quieten down, and all I can hear is the Helicopter off in the distance and the Water Fountain running.
I watered Mom’s plants today and even pruned a few of the plants.
It’s very relaxing working with plants. Not just the ones planted in the ground but potted plants as well.
I took parts from two different plants, a Begonia and a Purple Heart Plant, and potted them together in hopes of creating something nice-looking. We shall see.
The Cicadas now compete with the Crickets to see who can make the loudest sounds. The Water Fountain runs.
Then, just as I’m about to finish typing on my Laptop, I hear the low croak of a Bull Frog.
