The Moon was Full when I got into my vehicle for today’s early morning drive.
Over the Hills and around the Curves I drove as the Moon stayed in front of me. Some moments felt like I was chasing after the Moon.
It was truly Bright and Beautiful.
I see many Animals out here in the country in my drives.
I could drive up on Pigs, Horses, Cows, or Donkeys at any time.
This morning, the Donkey was behind its fence and facing the road. I pulled off the shoulder, rolled my window down, and turned my vehicle off.
It was quiet and peaceful out. The Donkey and I were all alone. No traffic was out at this early hour.
The Sky was slowly getting brighter.
“Hey, buddy,” I say to the Donkey. He calmly stares at me.
I don’t know if this Donkey is a “Jack” or a “Jenny.” Male or Female.
He looks like a “Jack,” though.
“What’s your name, fella?” I ask him. He continues to stare.
I didn’t want to scare him off, so I stayed in my truck and tried not to make too much noise.
“Fella, do you know if the story of why you have a Cross on your back is true?” I ask. I then noticed he was chewing something in his mouth.
“You’re a ‘purty’ fella. You look more furry than a Horse. Don’t worry, I’m not going to get out and try to pet ya,” I tell him.
He then gives me a loud “Hee-Haw!”
“Wow. Just like the name of the TV Show,” I say.
“I think I’m going to call you either ‘George,’ ‘Goober,’ or ‘Jack.'”
I don’t notice him chewing anything anymore. He may have just been moving his mouth around, and it looked like Chewing. I don’t know.
“See, ‘George Lindsey’ who played ‘Goober’ was also on ‘Hee-Haw.’ So, I’m thinking you’re a ‘George’ or a ‘Goober.'” I tell him.
The Sky is quickly getting brighter, and I decide to drive on.
I crank my vehicle up, put it in Drive, and say, “Good talkin’ to ya ‘George.’ See ya next time,” and I drive on.
