July 4th, 2021

Happy Independence Day, 2021.
It was a lot better day than July 4th, 2020 …

The day started with me getting up early and moving around.

I have a lot of neuropathic pain, muscle pains, and bone pains each morning when I wake up. It’s all due to Spina Bifida.
So, moving around sometimes relieves the pain, and I knew we would be going to my Aunts and Uncles’ house in the afternoon, and I wanted to be as pain-free as possible before going to their home. (It worked)

We had a great time at my Aunt’s and Uncles’ house.

I learned many things about my bloodline and heard many stories about our family and extended family.

It turns out that I am kin to a Colonel who fought in the Revolutionary War. I’m kin to him through my Granny.

There is a group called “Sons Of The American Revolution” that I am eligible to join. Mom has received the research paperwork from a cousin on the Rogers side. That is my Great Grandmother’s family. The cousin traced our family tree going back to a Colonel that fought in the American Revolutionary War. Mom has attended a DAR (Daughters Of The American Revolution) meeting with my First Cousin because mom thought about joining at one time. She decided against joining, though.
You have to be documented and have all paperwork to participate in the meetings.
I may try to join it depending on how often they meet, etc. (I’ve written about it before)

For lunch, I had:

Baked Beans
Corn on the cob
Potato Salad
Deviled Eggs
Smoked BBQ
—With Banana Pepper, Onion, and Tomato on the side
I didn’t have dessert to eat because the meal itself had a lot of carbs.
