I’m sitting here listening to WSM Radio – The Grand Ole Opry. I thought I’d be writing this Journal Entry from my Hospital Room at Grandview Medical Center.
I was supposed to be in Nashville this weekend at The Grand Ole Opry but had to cancel at the last minute due to health issues.
Three nights ago, I woke up with my right Kidney hurting exceptionally badly.
I also had cold sweats. I was shivering.
I couldn’t sleep because lying down put too much pressure on my Kidney.
Shortly after, my left Kidney began hurting.
I chugged seventy ounces of water and waited for my Kidneys to flush out.
Within the hour, seventy ounces went into my Nighttime Urine Bag, and I felt slightly better.
At Eight O’Clock, I called my Urologist to find out he was out of the office all week.
I knew I had a Kidney Infection.
People with Spina Bifida also fight Sepsis all their lives. It’s an issue.
I’ve been on my Death Bed with Sepsis and held the Chaplain’s hand while he Prayed over me.
So, I was wondering if my body was going Septic.
With my Doctor out of the Office all week, I only had a few choices, one of which was to go to the Hospital.
As I said earlier, I truly thought I’d be writing this from the Hospital. I’m not, though.
I’m sitting in my recliner, listening to The Grand Ole Opry on WSM Radio.
I have a friend performing there tonight, and I wanted to be there to support him.
So, if I can’t be there, I can at least listen to him over the radio.
I won’t go into everything I went through, but each day was better than the day before. And I was able to shave and get a shower today. That alone wore me out but made me feel a thousand percent better.
If you get the chance, go to https://wsmradio.com/listen-live/ and listen to The Grand Ole Opry.
I’ll update you more later.
Love you,
–Lynn
