Live Nativity – Crossroads Baptist

—Blog 12/11/2021—

Last night, I visited the Live Nativity at Crossroads Baptist Church in Hayden, Alabama.

They have it each year, and I always enjoy walking through it.
The Live Nativity tells about the Life of Christ.

It starts out with the Angels coming to Mary and telling her that she will carry God’s Son.
It then walks you all the way through to Jesus Crucifixion and ascension into Heaven.

The walk-thru is from 6-8 PM.
It’s also dark outside, which makes each “scene” better, in my opinion.

All the actors are wearing the appropriate clothing for that time period, and they have campfires built, which makes it more real.

In the end, it gives you a better understanding of why Jesus was born and why he got Crucified on the Cross.

As a believer, I walked away feeling “refilled” or “refreshed,” for lack of a better term.

I wish they’d keep it up longer each year, but it gets put on for only three or four nights. So tonight is the last night, and it starts at 6 PM.

They have free Hot Chocolate and Cookies and portable “Johns” if you should need that.

People who have trouble walking can ride in a Cart to go thru.

I really enjoyed it.

That’s the latest on me.

Love you,

–Lynn
