Purple Hearts

—Purple Hearts—

This year, 2021, for Mother’s Day, I purchased several plants for the front yard.

Among the plants I bought was three “Purple Heart” plants.
I’ve also heard them called “Wandering Jews,” and to tell you the truth, I don’t know which name is correct. Maybe both are correct.
Maybe you can tell me.

I hung the “Purple Heart” plants up because they came in a hanger.

Mother’s Day came and went. Mom loved all the plants I bought and had put in the Front Yard.

Now, we have three dogs.
Tommy
Jett
Cooper

“Tommy” is part Black Lab, “Jett” is Australian Sheppard, and “Cooper” is a mini-Australian Sheppard.

All three are best friends, and all three love one thing… …destroying the yard…

We had the dogs on a Wireless “Invisible” Fence to keep them in the yard, but between the mail person not delivering our packages because of the dogs and, the dogs destroying the yard, we decided to fence in the backyard.

However, before fencing in the backyard, the dogs found the “Purple Hearts” and destroyed the “Planter” in which the plants were hanging. Thus, leaving the Purple Hearts lying on the ground.

When Mom found the Purple Hearts lying on the ground, she decided to leave them where they lay and water them daily in hopes that they would take root and grow where they were.—It worked.

The Dogs did not win.

We now have “Purple Hearts” or “Wandering Jews,” whichever name is correct, growing in three different places in the front yard.

We also have a pretty neat story.
