The New Colorectal Doctor

—Health Update For Everyone Who Keeps Up with Me—

Today, I was reassured that God is always in control. He even knows what you will need in the future. He’s amazing. I was amazed.

After Forty Years in the field, my previous Colorectal Doctor Retired from Surgical Practice. I thought he had just changed to another area of Practice, but he indeed Retired. I’ll miss him.

He always Prayed over my body before Surgery. He Prayed for me in Recovery. He Prayed for me in my Hospital Room.
He would place one hand on my head and one on my abdomen and Pray.
So, I wanted to keep him. I hated to lose him.

Today, however, I met with my New Colorectal Doctor.
As soon as she walked into the room, I knew I had seen her somewhere before.
It turned out that she was on the same Surgical Team as my previous Colorectal Doctor.
He had taught her to take over for him when he retired.
She had helped with all of my Surgeries. She came to my room when I was in ICU. She came to my room when I moved from ICU to a regular room.
She had all of my files.
She remembered me. She knew me.
I relaxed, and in my mind, I said, “Thank You, Father God. Thank You.” I exhaled.

In my own words, I told her everything that had happened, from me wearing Diapers to me having to get a Colostomy.

I’ll see her once yearly to stay “Established” with her.

She said, “If you go to the ER with Colon or Colostomy problems, tell them you’re my patient and we will go from there.”

I walked out knowing that God had taken me from the hands of one Great Doctor into the hands of another Great Doctor.
He took care of me.

I walked out feeling relieved. Relieved and very Happy.
