Journal Update 10/9/2023

Saturday, I turned 48.
And for my Birthday, I took the Dawgs “Tommy and Otis” for a ride through the country.
The Weather has been Beautiful for drives through the country—blue skies with a daily high of somewhere in the lower ’70s.
I then ate whatever I wanted the whole day and watched some of my favorite TV Shows.
It was a good day.

You may or may not remember that I have stents in both Kidneys to help urine get out of my body quicker. They have to get changed out yearly, and it’s that time again.
I made an appointment to have the stents changed out this Wednesday. It’s an Outpatient Procedure and should cause minimal discomfort.
I had it scheduled for the 18th, but over the past couple of days, my urine showed signs that the stents needed to be changed. So, I rescheduled the procedure for this Wednesday.

My Cousin on Papa’s side owns his own Auto Shop, and today, I got myself a new set of tires for my vehicle—a Birthday Gift to me.
I drive a lot and need to keep my tires in good shape.

Papa and I then went to Milo’s for a Burger, Fries, and Tea.
Milo’s Hamburgers is a Greek Restaurant Chain with a delicious secret sauce they put on their Burgers. I love it. Most people get an extra cup of the secret sauce to dip their French Fries in. Mmm-Mmm.

Growing up, it was always a treat to eat at Milo’s.
Now, though, it’s become quite a “Chain,” with Milo’s Hamburgers in many locations.
Still, we don’t have one around here, so when I get out, I try and stop and eat at Milo’s if possible.
Afterward, Papa and I went to Sam’s Club to get some Groceries for the house.

Once back home, I drove through the country again and listened to Old Time Radio on Sirius XM Channel 148.
I listened to Dr. Kildare and Gunsmoke. I enjoy both of those shows.
Later, I might drive around to listen to Johnny Dollar.
That, though, will be after we eat: Hot Dogs and Chips are on the Menu for tonight.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
