Warehouse 319 – Christmas Lunch

Yesterday I made my way over to “Warehouse 319” in Jasper, Alabama.

I was meeting some friends for a Christmas Luncheon and was looking forward to giving them some Snowglobes.
I had brought every Snowglobe I’d made and was going to let each friend go through them all and pick out the one they wanted. —The one that “Spoke” to them.

We planned the Lunch for 2 pm so we wouldn’t be in anyone’s way. The lunch crowd would have left, and the dinner crowd would have yet to arrive. It would give us a few hours to talk.

“Warehouse 319” is a nice place.
Jasper, Alabama, is nice and friendly as well. I’ve posted about Jasper before.

I would say that Warehouse 319 is “Semi-Upscale.”
I had the Basket of Fried Shrimp with Fries and Coleslaw for 13 bucks.
Yet, their Steak costs around 35 bucks.

I arrived first and got a table for us all.
Then, I ordered Chips and Salsa as an appetizer to share.
The appetizer was around six bucks.

My Snowglobes were in a box, and I sat the box on the floor next to my chair.
I decided to stop trying so hard with my Snowglobes this year.
Every single one has an Imperfection, and I decided to go with it and even write “Imperfect” on the bottom of each Globe.
See, I’ve learned that each one of us is perfect. I am, and you are.
Even with health, weight, and whatever “problems” we each have, we’re perfect.
So, on the bottom of this “Imperfect” Globe, I wrote “Imperfect,” which is a play on the words “I’m Perfect.”

So, yesterday, I handed my Globes out to my friends.
Our waitress, who had been wonderful the whole time, was at the table refilling our tea and getting our plates, so I gave her a Globe.
I wished her a “Merry Christmas” and received a hug in exchange.
Well, the next thing you know, I’d given every server a Globe and had said “Merry Christmas” to many people.
…And, I received a lot of hugs in exchange.

I think I made out well.

Merry Christmas,

–Lynn

PS: Today, I’ll be making more Snowglobes.

—To my friends I met in Jasper: Thank you for your gifts. They’re Beautiful, and each of you is Beautiful.
