Our power is out.
It went out around 3:30 PM.
It’s becoming more and more common in this area.
All I can say is Thank Goodness for Cell Phone Hot Spots and Laptops.
I had just finished charging my phone.
I have two Pecan Pies ready to go into the oven, but instead, they are sitting in the Fridge.
We have a Gas Stove, but we need electricity to light the oven.
I can light the Top Burners with a lighter, but I’m not fooling with trying to light the oven using a lighter. Although, I’m sure it can be done.
Before I sat down to write in my journal today, I lit two Candles.
The Flickering is nice to watch.
Someone posted on our HOA Facebook Page that the ETA for the power is 6:30 PM. I’m hoping they’re wrong.
Today, I spent a little over 90 Dollars on the ingredients to make 10 Pecan Pies. So, not only are they delicious, they aren’t too much per pie.
And some of the ingredients can get used in 20 or more pies.
I’m going to stop here.
Papa just came back from shopping and said that he believes the power will be back on soon. He said it was already back on in other parts of the neighborhood.
