—6/8/2024—
I think I’ve been out in the sunshine a bit too much over the past few days. I’m not sunburnt. I don’t even think I’m red.
I just know I’m Cold.
This house sits atop a Mountain and gets direct sunlight for much of the day. So, by 2 pm, my room is, I’m guessing, 74 degrees. If I had my way, it’d be between 70 and 72.
Today, though, It’s cold sitting in my room.
It’s not a “Sickly” kinda cold, either. It feels like my skin is hot from too much sun.
Anyway,
Each day, I’ve been slowly working in the Flowerbeds and the Garden.
A little here, a little there; not overdoing it, but I was in the sunshine.
I took breaks every half hour or so and have drank several packs of Gatorade over the last couple of days.
Today, I made Chili to eat for Lunch and dinner.
I tried to make a small enough portion so that I would not have leftovers, but I’m still going to have leftovers.
I also purchased a Ribeye Steak, a Baked Potato, and a Sweet Potato to cook up tomorrow or the following day.
I wasn’t sure if I’d be in the mood for Baked or Sweet Potatoes, so I bought both.
For Lunch, I made my version of a Taco Salad.
Iceberg Lettuce, Tostito Chips, Chopped Tomato, Shredded Cheese, and Chili poured over it. Top it off with Sour Cream.
And now, I’m about to lie down and take a nap.
I brought all “The Dawgs” inside to sleep with me in case it turned from a nap to full-blown sleep.
They’ll wake me up if they have to go outside.
That’s all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
