My First Steak

I successfully cooked my first Steak tonight. It was a New York Strip.

I guess that should read, “I cooked my first successful Steak tonight.”
I’ve tried to cook a Steak in the past, but after 25 minutes of cooking on one side, I threw it away and never tried again.

Tonight, however, that all changed. It was a success.
And Medium-Rare at that. Just like a Steak is supposed to be.
Papa taught me. I owe him all the credit.

Now, I’m not posting pictures of this meal, and that’s on purpose. Presentation is important, and this Steak just wasn’t Camera worthy. A sad lookin’ fella’ really. Delicious, though.
I named it “Billy.” Everybody should name their first Steak.

The key to the whole thing is to get your pan super hot.
Then, throw the Steak into the frying pan and run.

With it, I cooked a small Baked Potato. It, too, was delicious.

Next time I’ll buy enough Steak for the rest of the family.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
