Bears, Bears, Bears

—Bears Bears Bears—

—Entry 9/13/2021 — While at The Cabin in Gatlinburg

I saw a Bear at the bottom of the driveway, and I saw a Cub on top of the Cabins roof across the street. The cub had climbed the tree next to the cabin and hopped on the roof. I wanted to grab a picture, but unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera in my hands.
I also wanted to let the neighbors know, but it’s a rental cabin. So I wouldn’t know how to get in touch with anyone. And I wasn’t about to walk over and knock on the door. Not with Mama Bear hangin’ around.
Then, the cub walks over to the tree, hops back on, and slides down the tree with ease.

I decided to hop in my truck and pull down to the bottom of the driveway and get a closer look at what was going on with the bears.
That idea paid off big time. I run up on Seven bears total.
Now, I could only get pictures of one mama bear, “Gladys,” and her three cubs.
“Gladys” got into the neighbor’s trash bin and pulled the can out, and placed it in the middle of the road for her cubs. They ate like Kings. I watched until they walked away with full tummies.

I then drove around the can and came upon another mama bear, “Gladys #2,” and her four cubs.
They all ran off before I could stop and grab a picture.
My dashcam has some great footage. I’m betting.

I’ve heard that the Bear population is bigger than usual this year, and I believe it.

Here are the pictures I was able to snap.
