Birmingham Alabama VA part 1

Birmingham, AL., VA

4-6-22

I hate typing on my phone, but I’ve got three hours to wait for my Dad’s eye surgery to complete, so I’m typing on my phone.

The Birmingham, AL, VA, is a place a lot of my family use.

I got up at 5 AM to be here by 8 AM.

That’s because I have to get up early and move around before getting my day started.
At 6:45, I picked Dad up at his house, and we headed to the VA.

To get here, we parked at a parking garage and took the VA bus to the VA.
The people that you see and meet will make you stop and think.
It will make you respect the flag, Stand for the National Anthem and also cover your heart while standing.

The VA is full of people waiting to help everyone. They’re called “Ambassadors,” And it’s full of them. Everyone has been extremely friendly.

I went to the Café and had a big breakfast.

  • Omelet with Ham, Cheese, Onion, Bell Pepper, and Mushroom.
  • Bacon
  • Two pieces of Toast
  • Fried Potatoes
  • Coffee

I handed the cashier a ten and a five.
She gave the five back and said, ”Have a great day, Sweetie.”

“Thank you, ma’am. You too.”

After breakfast, I made my way to the “Family Waiting Room” which is where I’m typing this from.

I have three hours to wait— and wait, I will.
That’s all for now.
