Cabin 6/21/22 – Continued

—Cabin – Cont. – 6/21/22—

I realized I was out of Bread and Milk …again.

So, I made my way over to the Gatlinburg Bypass. Before doing so, however, I stopped and got ten gallons of gas. Gas has gone down from $4.98 a gallon to $4.89 a gallon here.

After getting gas, I hopped on to the Gatlinburg Bypass.
Once on the bypass, I had to stop almost immediately. I could see a line of cars going for a good quarter of a mile and around the curve.
These were not cars stopped to watch a Bear on the side of the road. Something was wrong.
My FreeStyle Libre Diabetes Alarm went off, letting me know my Blood Sugar was low. I had no sugar or carbs in my vehicle, and I knew I couldn’t wait in that long line of cars either. So, I made a U-Turn and went back to Red Light #10 and stopped at “Dad’s General Store.”

I figured I’d get myself a quick drink, some loaf bread, and eat a sandwich at the Cabin. They were out of bread, though.
The Food Counter, however, was open for Supper. I thought it was only open for Breakfast and Lunch, but it was also open for Supper. At least today it was.

The Food Counter at Dad’s General Store has some great Burgers. They take their burgers pretty seriously.

I got a Double Cheeseburger with Bacon and Pepper Jack Cheese. I also got an order of Fries.
The total for the Burger and Fries was a little over 9 Dollars. I was pleased with that price. It’s a restaurant burger, in my opinion.

I also got a Gallon of Milk.

I’m now back at the Cabin. I’ve had my Supper and am ready to lay back down on the Couch for the night.

That’s all from me for today.

Love you,

–Lynn
