Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

I got up early this morning to get down to “Crockett’s Breakfast Camp” to eat breakfast.

“Crockett’s” opens at 7 a.m., but I arrived about 6:30 a.m. and got my place in line.—I was second.

I hoped that it wouldn’t be very crowded this morning, and I was half right.
A line of about fifteen people grew, and at 7 a.m., we were all ushered in and sat down. They sat us a reasonable distance away from each other.

Crockett’s is known, in my world at least, for their “Skillet” breakfasts.

They have several dishes that come out in a big ol’ skillet.

I got the “Black Bear Camp Skillet.”
Sugar Cured Ham
Pecan Smoked Bacon
Sausage
2 Eggs Any Style
Hashbrowns
Biscuit
Gravy
Grits

When the Cook brought mine out of the kitchen, men from across the room said to their wives, “That’s what you wouldn’t let me get!”

I ate like a King.

—The pictures do not do it justice.

Now it’s time to go back to bed.

That is all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
