Cullman Christmas Pyramid

I visited Cullman, Alabama, tonight to watch the movie “Avatar” with my Brother and Nephew.

Cullman is the town I grew up in.
Sort of:
My hometown is Fultondale, Alabama.
Before moving to Cullman, I also lived in a few different areas of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
In Cullman, I went from being a Child to an adult.
Many birthdays, including my eighteenth and twenty-first birthdays, took place in Cullman, Alabama.
I learned a lot about life there: the good and the bad.

I hadn’t been back in years, and tonight my brother drove me around Cullman, allowing me to reminisce.

Cullman is a German town with a Rich German Heritage.
There are many small German shops all around, and each October, they have an October Festival.

Tonight, we went to see the “Weihnachtspyramide.”
Yes, that is what it’s called. But, if you look closely enough at that name, you’ll see the word “Pyramid.” And the English name is the Cullman “Christmas Pyramid.”

Growing up, we had a miniature version in our home. It sat on our dining room table.
It was made of a lightweight tin, and at the bottom were candles. You would light the candles, and the heat would rise, making a fan with Angels rotate in a circle.

Cullmans Christmas Pyramid is no miniature. No. It’s 30 feet tall—The tallest Weihnachtspyramide in the U.S. And I wanted to see it up close.
It did not disappoint.

I snapped a few pictures and took a few videos to share with you.

If you’re in the area, stop by and see the Cullman Christmas Pyramid.
Officially called the “Weihnachtspyramide.”

The movie “Avatar” wasn’t bad, either. I liked the first Avatar better, though.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
