Home Sweet Home

We arrived home, and I immediately went to bed.

The next morning I took “Tommy and Otis” for a well-deserved ride in the truck.

Out in the Country, you never know what you’ll see.
I’ve seen everything from Pigs that have gotten out of their pen to Horses. Yesterday, I saw the latter.

I was driving an old Country Road when I looked over and saw a beautiful Horse running beside me and chasing me down the road.
At first, I thought he was in the field and behind the fence, but then I realized that he had broken out and was indeed chasing me like a dog chasing a vehicle. He was keeping up, too.

Scared or startled, I floored it to outrun him.
Outrunning a Horse is not as simple as outrunning a dog.
I got out in front, and he stopped chasing me.

The first chance I got, I turned around to go back and tell someone that their Horse had gotten out.
When I got back to the area, there were three beautiful Horses just walking on the side of the road.

Thankfully, one of the neighbors pulled up and started taking care of getting in touch with the owners.

As I drove off, I realized that I had gone from being in the “Bear Country” of the “Great Smoky Mountains” to the Horse and Pig Country of my home. —Home Sweet Home.
