Lous 47th

I met my friend “Lou” and his Family at “Social Taco” yesterday for his Birthday Lunch. He and I are now the same age until my next Birthday.

Before heading to meet them, I hurriedly went to “Dollar General” to get a card to go with the Gift Bag I put together for him.

In the Gift Bag, I had put a bag of “Bit O’ Honey” candy and some metal “Space Saver” Coat Hangers called “Magic Hangers.”
The hangers work well, and I had several left over from when I rearranged my closet recently.
I also added a Snowglobe to the bag.

I have many Snowglobes sitting here and there in my room.
I made this Snowglobe in 2020. I know because I sign and date each of them. —The Snowglobe is really for his Daughter— It still looked new, meaning it had passed the test of time.
So, into the Gift Bag, it went.

Inside Dollar General, I pick out a Card and realize I’ll need an ink pen to sign the card. So I head to the Stationary Section for a pen.

Browsing the pens, I realize I can’t purchase just one pen. Instead, I have to buy a package of pens. So, I grab a package of “Bic” ink pens and head to the register.

In the vehicle, I open the package of pens and sign the card.
I then put the pen back into the package.
“Everybody can use some extra pens,” I think to myself, and throw the package of pens into Lous Gift Bag.

I head to the interstate.

Along the way down, my Smart Phone begins “Beeping.”

—My Blood Sugar was low.

I realized that I had forgotten to bring myself a Coke or my Carbohydrate drinks.
So…, I grab the “Bit O’ Honey” bag out of Lou’s Gift Bag and open them up.
I eat five or six Bit O’ Honeys, which puts my levels back to around a hundred, which is good.

After arriving, I hugged my friend, and we sat, and I handed him the Gift Bag I had brought.
That’s when I realized I had just given him a bunch of “used stuff.”
The Coat Hangers were “leftovers,” and the pens were open, as were the Bit O’ Honeys.

The Gift Bag was good, though.
His Daughter liked the Snowglobe too.
And seeing her smile as Lou shook it for her made everything Perfect.
