—The Mayberry Motor Inn – Day 1—
We have arrived at “The Mayberry Motor Inn” in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.
I quickly went to the front desk, signed in, and backed our vehicle up to the door of our room for easy unloading.
Within 30 minutes, we were unpacked and felt right at home.
The people here are so friendly, and people are already gathering at the Pavilion.
A great big banner is hanging over the entrance to the Pavilion that says, “Mayberry Meet-Up ‘Relax… What’s Your Hurry’?”
I walked over to the Pavilion and sort of introduced myself. I really shouted, “I’m Lynn; nice to meet everyone! Are y’all here for the Meet-Up?”
Everyone said that they were here for the “Meet-Up.”
I was sweaty and had just driven in, so I wasn’t ready to introduce myself properly.
I have my medical supplies situated as well as my clothes.
The room has two Full Beds, a TV, refrigerator, microwave, and a big enough area for Baths and showers and getting dressed up.
I brought the internet camera that I take with me on all of my trips, and I got it up and running over the internet.
Due to my medical problems, I set that camera up so that my dear mother and Papa can check in on me.
The camera has audio as well as video.
Our Host, Allan Newsome, has not arrived yet. I can’t wait to meet him and his wife in person.
