Birth

She opened her eyes—a cold room, Bright lights shining in her eyes and over her body.

She remembers going to the hospital to give birth. The doctors had put her under to deliver the baby.

She can hear people talking:

“Did you see his back?”

“What was that? It looked like a bubble —a balloon.”

She looks around.

“She’s awake. Put her back under now,” the Doctor says.

She’s in a hospital room.
Many Doctors walk in.

“Something is wrong with my baby. Something with his back.”

“Ma’am, we need to talk. It is going to be hard for you, but please listen.”

I, Lynn Thomas, declare that I was born on October 07th, 1975.
