I woke to the Cracking Sound of Thunder and Lightning.
It was so loud that my eyes opened right up, and I was awake.
I wasn’t even groggy. It woke me straight up. Thunder does that to me if it’s loud enough. And this was loud. —A cracking sound followed by a big boom.
“Dang-it, it would happen today,” I thought.
Today is the day Dad and I had planned on going to the Train Museum.
And I had said in an earlier post that the trip to the Train Museum was “Weather Permitting,” and, as usual for April, it’s supposed to rain all day today.
I have been in communication with one of the nice ladies who work there, and I felt I needed to let her know ASAP.
So, I got my laptop and sent an email letting her know that we were canceling today and would try to make it up next Tuesday or Saturday.
On Saturdays, you can take a train ride on one of the trains. Only on Saturdays, though.
So, it looks to be a typical April day today in ‘Bama—rainy.
I’ll try to make it a good day, though.
