Sunday, September 25th, 2022.

A gloomy, foggy day as I walked out to my vehicle to ride around this morning.

I had to turn my windshield wipers on several times to wipe the rain off my window.

The girl at the drive-thru hands me my usual and wishes me a “Blessed Day” for today. I love getting a “Have a Blessed Day today, Sir!” It’s much better than, “Have a good day today, Sir.” Notice I didn’t include the exclamation point on the second. That’s because there’s usually no enthusiasm in the latter.

When I arrived home, we woke Niece number two up and told her to go and clean up the toilet paper from the trees and the yard.
You may not remember, but our yard got “Rolled” during Homecoming Week last week.
I gave her a rake and a trash bag and sent her on her way.

Mom has some Green Beans fresh from a friend’s garden that she is shelling and snapping as I type this Journal Entry.
Mom still has her Shingles but tries to get up daily and do something active. Each day seems a little better than before.
We’ve heard stories that the pain can stay inside the body for a long time.
She and I are chatting as I type this out.

I did end up a little sick from this week’s Procedure that I had done at the Hospital.
It was a good 24 hours after the fact. It’s from the medicines and gases they gave me while in the O.R., and it happens after every Procedure.
Usually, after the medicines and gases wear off, the effects from all of it wreak havoc on my insides. I stayed in bed all day yesterday.
I think all the effects are now out of my body.

I’ve had my shower and am now ready to get the day started.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
