A Bird In This World

I’m an odd duck.
“A bird in this world,” Andy Taylor might say to Ol’ Barney.
And I know it.

My doctor might even say it’s my body’s chemistry.
I mean, I have to take a lot of pills for things my body is “low” on, such as Testosterone Injections.
So, I blame that for many of the things I enjoy in life.
Most men wouldn’t call what I enjoy doing very “Manly.”

For example, I like watching old shows from the past, such as “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Whenever I stayed at my Nana’s house when I was growing up, She’d have “Murder She Wrote” or “Hee-Haw” playing on the TV.
So, I still enjoy watching those shows.

I also enjoy watching “The Golden Girls.” Yeah. I know. Not “Manly.”
Those “Girls” each remind me of someone from my family or my youth.
I won’t say who “Blanche” reminds me of or who “Rose” reminds me of, but they do each remind me of someone from my childhood.

“Mama’s Family” is another good one, as well as “Everybody Loves Raymond.” —That one is more recent.
“The Middle” is another more recent show that I like watching.

Today, I will be cleaning my room and taking out my trash.
I’ll work slowly so’s not to overdo it, and in the background, I’ll have “Murder She Wrote” playing on the TV.

I’m hoping it’s going to be a good day.
