Yesterday, Easter 2023, was a pretty great day.
It started with me going to the gas station.
I noticed a Red Dodge Charger parked. The driver gets out, and I do a double-take.
He looked just like my late brother.
I stopped, looked, and even tilted my head a bit.
He faced the other way as he got gas, and I noticed that even from behind, he looked like him.
I shrugged it off, took it as a sign that it would be a good day, and entered the store.
Later, I dressed in my “Sunday Best” and went to Church.
The Church I attended was not my Church. I was visiting.
Before Church started, I hugged and shook hands with many people I knew from the community.
Church began with a lot of singing.
“New Age” type songs using the guitar, bass, drums, and a horn section.
I say “New Age” because I don’t know what those types of Worship Songs are called.
The Preacher was Strong in his Preaching and knew how to connect with his people. And, I felt good after the service.
Next, we had my oldest brother’s family over to the house, where we ate Turkey and Dressing, Ham, Green Beans, Potatoes, Deviled Eggs, and several other dishes.
We laughed and talked and had a good time.
After it was over, Mom and I even talked about how good this Easter had been.
This morning I woke up to find out that I had scheduled two doctor appointments for today. I had double-booked.
The times are so close to one another that I’ll have to reschedule one of them.
And that’s the latest from yesterday to this morning.
Love you,
