I had to drive to Gardendale today to have something sent back to Amazon using the UPS Store.
The store is next to a fine Chinese Restaurant, and I decided to dine there for lunch.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a child.
It wasn’t always a Buffet.
You can tell when you look around that it’s an old restaurant that has seen many guests in its day.
When I broke my leg, we ate at this restaurant.
When the Challenger Space Shuttle blew up, we ate at this restaurant.
When I did good in school, we ate at this restaurant.
So, when I’m in this town, this is one of a handful of restaurants I enjoy eating in.
The meal was good, as usual.
Afterward, I dropped my package off at the UPS Store and returned back home.
At home, I have two and a half hours to go before getting into the School Line to pick up Niece number 2. So, I decided to watch some TV.
I have heard a lot about the Television Series “The Chosen,” and I’ve started watching it.
It’s free to watch on any Smart Device and has its own App to use for watching the show.
I installed the App a few days ago and began watching it, and I am now on Season two.
“The Chosen” is the Bible, mostly the New Testament, played out.
It follows Jesus and His Disciples who made up “The Chosen.”
Thus far, I am enjoying it immensely.
At 1:50 PM, I paused my show and got in the car to go and get in the School Line.
While sitting in line, I listen to “Tom Sawyer” on Audible. I am enjoying it as well.
While listening to Tom Sawyer, I like to play “Candy Crush Saga.”
Candy Crush can be very difficult at times, but I am happy to report that today, I went through every level without losing a single game.
At or around 2:48 PM, Niece number 2 hopped in the car, and we returned back home.
I am now sitting comfortably in my recliner and plan on finishing a few more episodes of The Chosen tonight before going to bed.
That’s all for now.
Love you,
–Lynn
