The Mayberry Meet-Up was a great success.
Not a lot of people know this, but I am a shy guy in Social Situations.
It takes a long while for me to warm up to people and actually bring myself to talk.
The atmosphere here is special, though.
I come out of my shell here at the Mayberry Meet-Up and in the world of Mayberry.
I think that can get said for many people I met tonight.
I talked to many people tonight. Many, I walked over to and spoke first. Many walked over to me and spoke.
In Highschool, I felt out of place at almost every “Get Together” I attended. I was shy. I was scared to talk.
Imagine being able to leave all of that behind and enjoy the “Get Together.” Enjoy the people. Enjoy one another.
That’s this place.
It’s a place you can walk over to anyone and speak. And be heard.
Tonight, under the stars, I attended one of the best “Get Togethers” I’ve ever attended.
And while we were enjoying each other’s company, “The Andy Griffith Show” played.
As I said in my post yesterday, I don’t know if it’s something in the dirt or the air, but there is something magical here.
I know because I experienced it tonight.
