The Latest

My Journal Posts have slowed down a little.

Mom is still suffering from the effects of Shingles.
The “Break-out” is all gone. You cannot tell she even had Shingles.
She is still hurting on the inside, though, and she is fighting with Fatigue.

So, Papa and I have been cooking each day.
I now know what it feels like to put all you got into preparing a meal only to have the girls say, “I’m not hungry.” —Stab me in the heart, want ya.

I have not posted about every meal I have cooked. I will name the ones I can remember, though:

Spaghetti (Southernized)
Chili
Zuppa Toscana
Chinese (The easy Kind. Out of the box and into the oven or stovetop)
That’s all I can remember off the top of my head.
The Zuppa Toscana was the hardest. I put Mild Italian Sausage in it. You cook the Sausage first but add it last.
It’s also the only dish that requires Heavy Cream.
Everyone has enjoyed what I’ve cooked so far.

All the other nights, Papa either cooked or we got Fast Food.

Mom is going to call her doctor tomorrow to give the doctor an update and make sure all of this is “normal.”

I looked the Shingles up online, and it said that the effects from the Shingles could last six weeks or more.

I have been taking my Dawg Tommy for a ride in the truck daily.
Sometimes twice a day.
He really enjoys it.
As I’ve said before, he starts hopping up and down like a bunny rabbit as soon as he sees me with the leash in my hand.

Speaking of Tommy the Dawg, I have to take him for our evening ride.
So, that’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
