3/24/24

I woke up with some Muscle Aches this morning.
The time was 3:35 in the A.M.
The Aches were my body’s way of telling me that I had officially slept in my Recliner for too long—about Five Days too long, to be exact.
I feel much better than I did on previous days, which is good.

I got up, put some pants on, and slid my feet into my shoes.
It was time for an early morning drive. A very early morning drive.
“The Dawgs” kept their eyes shut. One snored, and the other passed gas. They were in Heaven, so I didn’t dare bother them.

The Red Fox did show his face on my Morning Drive, but outside of seeing him, nothing too interesting happened, which is odd. I usually notice lots. Maybe it’s because I’ve been under the weather.

Later in the morning, I began watering my plants.
The Squash is now too big for the Pod they started in, so I began transplanting them into a Bucket. The Bucket is only temporary until I’m ready to put them into the ground. I’ve got twelve growing but only need three. I’ll try to give the others away.

I want to describe my Garden situation a bit to give you a better idea of what I’m doing.
We have two Raised Flower Beds.
They come about waist high on me and make the Perfect “Disabled-Friendly” Garden.
I can stand without bending over and can easily maintain the Garden.
I’ll have a few Tomato, Squash, and Cucumber Plants in the Raised Garden.

Next, I’m going to grow some Sweet Onions in Five-Gallon Buckets.
I watched several videos on this and feel comfortable enough to try it.
The sweet onion I bought says, “As Sweet As An Apple,” on the sticker.
So, of course, I had to try that.
I’m also going to plant some Potatoes in Five-Gallon Buckets.
I like the Bucket Idea. I think they’ll be “User-Friendly.”
The Buckets will be strategically located to be “Out of sight, out of mind,” but still easy for me to maintain.

All the Herbs that smell so nice will get planted into Flowerpots on the Front Porch. I did them that way last year, and it worked out well. They both look and smell nice.
If I need some Basil, I simply walk out to the front Porch with some scissors and cut off some Basil. Easy.

Hot and Sweet peppers will either get planted into Flowerpots or Buckets. I’ll have to check with some Family Members to see what they recommend.
Peppers look and smell nice, so they may also be out on the Porch.

I got a little dirty working today, so I’m going to shower.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
