Bachelor Day 1

The family, or the “Fam,” have successfully made it to the Cruise Ship and are out in the middle of the Ocean.
I checked “Life360,” the app we use to keep up with one another, and it shows them all in the middle of the Ocean.
Their Cell Service must be lagging because it shows Papa about a mile away from the others.
I texted them and said, “That’s one long boat.”

I visited the meat man at the “Pig” and had him help me pick out a great cut of meat.
I explained that I usually have to buy five Steaks when I come in, but this time, I’m buying one Steak just for me, and I wanted to Splurge.
I asked what his favorite cut of meat was, and he showed me a Thick Cut of Ribeye. I believe the words “Delmonico” and “Angus” were used.

I explained that I had never cooked a thick Steak and wasn’t sure how.
He asked how I usually cook my Steak, and I told him, “3 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on the other. Medium-Well.”

He then asked if I use a Meat Thermometer when I cook, and I told him I didn’t.
I actually said, “I haven’t been trained on that yet.” He and I laughed.
He told me to double my cooking time for the Thick-Cut, use the Thermometer, and get the Steak to 145 Degrees.

I got a fat Potato to Bake and Sweet Corn on the Cob to go with my Steak.
—Corn is my favorite Vegetable.

Today I’m going to re-pot some Plants I have growing. The word might be “Transplant,” but I’m unsure. I love working with potted plants.
It’s slow, easy, work and very Calming. You might want to give it a try if you need something that is slow, easy, and relaxing.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
